Friends’ Friday 44
What a difficult week for so many people in our nation. My thoughts and prayers continue to be shared for all of those whose lives are being drastically changed by the experiences of the storm. One way we can continue to uphold others is to not only pray for them, but to encourage them with moments of light heartedness and wisdom. This week is our 44th week of Friends’ Friday, and both Bill and Peg – faithful contributors – do just that in sharing their haiku. I hope in some way having a moment to read and ponder their poetry for a moment of respite will be of some help.
Bill and I had fun this week with a “haiku chain” (that is my term, others might call it a collaboration). He responded to one of my haiku this week and we went back and forth a few times building on each other’s ‘ku. I so appreciate Bill’s encouragement and playfulness. Peg shared some of her thoughts and wisdom from her own growth and experiences with the storm. Peg always thinks deeply. Both are powerfully fun and thought-provoking. Thanks Bill and Peg.
