Hmmm – did I say I wasn’t a fan of cats? I live in a condo development where there are to be no outside pets. Of course, I live by the woods, and I have chipmunks, squirrels, birds, deer, fox, rabbits, ground hogs, even a coyote (one time), and I joke that they are my pets, because they are out all day long. But…since last fall, there were two stray cats that met, and you know the story – there are now seven stray cats. One of my neighbors “adopted” them and had them all spade, except the father, feeds them, has beds for them on her patio, etc. As I think I mentioned before, my mulch is their litter box, and my home is their day-lounge – most likely because of the birds. I have communicated my concerns with the association because of my home being the litter box – and I was informed in January that they would be removed…then February…then March…then April…are you getting the picture? Well it is June, and there are four cats lying, very peacefully and happily outside as I write – and the others are nearby, I know. I don’t hate them, in fact, I have learned to like them. My chipmunks are fewer – which in a way is nicer to sit outside (they used to run under my feet). I still get stuck on the principle that there are to be no outdoor pets, and that the association said they would do something and they did not, but even that has its perspective. That was a long story to get to this haiga. For those of you who are cat lovers, I hope you like this story – because it is true. Have a wonderful day.
