Eyes Open Wide
Aren’t daisies fun? Just looking at them brings me a smile. They are happy flowers. The derivation of the name daisy in Anglo Saxon is daes eage (“day’s eye) and refers to the way the flower opens and closes with the sun. [Check out www.daisybooks.com for a brief history of the daisy.]
This photo is another taken in my friend’s garden. It was a rainy day, and yet the daisies “were happy”. Rain or shine, I hope your day is happy. For those of you from the states, I hope it is a restful and honorable Memorial Day.
