Remembering the Beach
I more recently started to enjoy the ocean. I don’t remember liking the beach, I remember the seagulls, the sand, and lots of people. But in the last few years I have learned to enjoy walking on the beach, scattering the seagulls, finding shells and driftwood, and resting in the sounds of the waves, and the colors of the sky.
The enjoyment of the beach and the season was a big change for me, because as you may know, I am a snow fan. These seagulls (perhaps they should just be called gulls) reside at Blue Marsh Lake, in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Many of them probably never saw the sea. It is funny in a way, because over the years the gull population has increased tremendously. Many people don’t like them, but even in their being a nuisance, there is beauty.
Hope you found moments of enjoyment in my “memory-prompting” of the beach, seagulls, and yes, even snow.

I was actually thankful for more snow this time Kris
The song of the gulls is music to my ears. I like them! Your picture and verse are restful. xoxo
I thought of you when I saw snow in your area…I bet your area was thankful because of the fires…hope the restfulness continues today.
